Jackson 2000 will be hosting its next discussion luncheon on Wednesday, May 11, 2011, at the Mississippi Arts Center, from 11:45 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Topic: Panel of American Women Reunion!
Come and hear these courageous women tell of their experiences as they actively campaigned against racism and prejudice in Mississippi in the 1960's. They are some of the few that spoke at houses of worship, civic clubs, schools and other venues, about their religious and racial diversity and their similarities during the Civil Rights days in Jackson and around the state. Please join us as we learn about their commitment, lessons learned, and relevance to today.
Members and non-members are encouraged to attend and bring guests.
The cost will be $12 per person, payable on site by cash or check the day of the program, and includes lunch catered by Broad Street Bakery.
