SEPT 2016 LUNCHEON

Gov. William Winter

REFLECTIONS ON MISSISSIPPI POLITICS

In spite of the mistakes and missed opportunities of the past, in spite of the abuse of our natural and human resources, in spite of all of the elements that have separated us from the rest of the world and from each other, the South remains a region of incredible vitality and strength.  We must now learn from our history and decide once and for all what we want this New South to be. In the final analysis, the politics of the New South will succeed only as we insist on preserving our sense of community, only as we not forget our history, only as we, in recognizing our increasing multi-cultural diversity, understand and celebrate our common humanity.

Time: 11:45 AM to 1 PM
Date: Wednesday, Sept 14, 2016
Location: Downstairs (Dance Studio) @ Mississippi Arts Center; 201 E. Pascagoula St., Jackson, MS
