Dr. D'Andra Orey and Mrs. Erin Shirley Orey

Dr. and Mrs. Orey will present case studies and research related to how physical appearance of African Americans influence public perception and reactions, and how those reactions can affect the reality that African Americans face in Mississippi and America.

Board Member Pam Confer will lead that luncheon.

Admission: $12 ($10 for members)


Members and non-members are encouraged to attend and bring guests. The cost is $12 per person ($10 for current members), payable on site by cash, credit card or check the day of the program, and includes lunch catered by Broad Street Bakery.

The Mississippi Arts Center is the former Mississippi Museum of Art at Lamar and Pascagoula, next to the Planetarium. We meet on the second floor, which is elevator-accessible. Call 601-960-1500 for more information on the Center.

Casual or business casual attire is recommended.
