Beneta Burt: Health Inequity and Possible Solutions
Beneta Burt serves as executive director for the MS Roadmap to Health Equity, which provides knowledge, tools, and technical support to community members to form partnerships with institutions, social advocates, researchers and policy makers, to collectively create community change toward health equity. Beneta provided leadership for securing grants of $5 million (W. K. Kellogg Foundation) and $388,000.00 from USDA to advance the health and wellness initiatives of the MS Roadmap.

Members and non-members are encouraged to attend and bring guests. The cost is $12 per person ($10 for current members), payable on site by cash, credit card or check the day of the program, and includes lunch catered by Broad Street Bakery.
The Mississippi Arts Center is the former Mississippi Museum of Art at Lamar and Pascagoula, next to the Planetarium. We meet on the second floor, which is elevator-accessible. Call 601-960-1500 for more information on the Center.
